The Kingswood Rummage takes place each year in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, usually on the last weekend in April. In 2009, the number of registered rummages was over 294. Thousands of shoppers from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area find superb bargains.
A volunteer committee plans and coordinates the event each year. With the funds collected from the registration fees, the committee purchases advertising for the event from both local newspapers as well as surrounding area newspapers. Homes in the Kingswood Area receive their registration packets around the first part of March.
From the registrations received, a listing of all the homes participating is compiled. This listing shows the addresses of the homes having sales, as well as some of the types of items they will be selling and the days and hours their sale will be open. This listing is made available to the public from this website about a week prior to the event.
